WHAT DOES PNM MEAN?

PNM stands for Potential New Member. This is any individual looking to join a Panhellenic chapter.

HOW DO I GO THROUGH RECRUITMENT?

To participate in the formal recruitment process, a PNM must first register through MyCampusDirector. Registration is open from November 1st through January 14th of 2023, and the link for registration will be posted on the Panhellenic website. There is a $30 fee upon registration, which will cover the expenses of recruitment. These expenses include t-shirts, guidebooks, and more. A PNM must be registered for at least 12 credit hours for the fall semester in order to participate in recruitment. There is a minimum 2.5 GPA requirement mandated by the Panhellenic Council, however, chapters may require a higher GPA before access into their organizations.

IF I GO THROUGH THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS, AM I OBLIGATED TO JOIN A SORORITY?

No. Recruitment is a process of mutual selection. The purpose of recruitment is to allow women interested in joining a sorority meet the amazing women that make up the chapters and our community to help find a home away from home. You always have the option to withdraw at any time from the process.

THERE AREN'T HOUSES AT LOYOLA. WHAT DO YOU DO INSTEAD?

Although sororities do not have houses on campus, sorority life continues to thrive! Chapter meetings usually take place in rooms across campus, study rooms are in the library, and philanthropy events and other events, such as retreats and formals, happen on Loyola’s campus and all over Chicago!

WHEN WILL I MEET MY RECRUITMENT GUIDE?

You will meet your Recruitment Guide (RG) during Kickoff on January 21st, 2023, as well as your recruitment group!

WILL I VISIT ALL OF THE CHAPTERS DURING RECRUITMENT?

On the first day of recruitment, you will visit all 7 chapters.

On the second day, you will visit up to 5 chapters.

On the last day, you will visit up to 2 chapters.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING A RECRUITMENT ROUND?

You will have a structured conversation with multiple women in the chapter who are looking to get to know you! They will tell you about their philanthropies, passions, and what makes their chapter unique!

HOW DO I FIND OUT THE PRICES/DUES OF ALL THE CHAPTERS?

You will be given a virtual look book that outlines all chapter dues. Dues can be paid in full, or throughout the semester depending on what works best for you.

CAN I TALK TO CHAPTER WOMEN OUTSIDE OF RECRUITMENT ROUNDS?

Chapter women are instructed to keep conversations with potential new members strictly academic during the recruitment weekend to make the process as unbiased as possible.

ARE LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION REQUIRED?

Nope!
