PRIMARY RECRUITMENT PROCESS

Diversity And Inclusion

WELCOME ROUND

  • You will visit all of the chapters

  • During this round, chapters will want to get to know you!

  • Suggested attire: Panhellenic-provided shirt, bottoms of your choice, and comfortable shoes

  • Welcome Round is split into two days in order to prioritize the health/well-being of all involved in recruitment.

  • Your Recruitment Guide will let you know if your group will be participating in Welcome Round on either Thursday or Friday!

VALUES ROUND

  • You will visit up to five chapters

    • You will navigate to them independently

    • Your schedule will be unique to you and therefore different from your members within you recruitment group

  • Chapters will share about their organization and chapter's values

  • Selection happens at the conclusion of your visits with your recruitment guide​

  • Suggested Attire: Business casual 

    • This could include but not limited to dresses, business/flowy pants, skirts, romper, blouses, flats, heels, booties, etc.

    • Whatever makes you comfortable!

PREFERENCE ROUND

  • Visit up to two chapters 

    • You will navigate to them independently

    • Your schedule will be unique to you and therefore different from your members within you recruitment group

  • You will get to know chapters on a deeper level and learn about their ritual traditions

  • Selection happens with Sorority and Fraternity Life staff members VIRTUALLY. Zoom link for selection will be provide prior to Preference Round to all potential new members.​

  • Suggested Attire: Sunday’s Best, Slightly Fancier

    • Dresses, jumpsuits, skirts, nice blouses, heels, flats, booties

    • Whatever makes you comfortable!

BID DAY

  • You will get your bid card from your chapter

  • Recruitment Guides will reveal their chapters to you

  • RUN HOME!

  • Dress Code: Casual

    • Solid bottoms, tank top/t-shirt, jacket

    • Chapters will provide you a Bid Day t-shirt

POST RECRUITMENT

  • Get to know your sisters!

  • Your chapter will provide you educational information on their:

    • History, values, and purpose

    • Personal and professional development 

    • Expectations of members 

  • Chapter Events! 

    • Sisterhood bonding 

    • Academics and studying 

    • Formals/Mixers 

    • Ritual 

  • Initiation
